Yep, we became a Netflix family after I convinced my siblings to get a new television for Mother’s Day and set it up with Netflix already installed. I put it all together while my sister took mom to lunch. I love it, and so does she. As I knew she would.
Why did it take so long? Well, blame the ‘if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it’ attitude my mother lives by. Was the TV old? Yes. So old, in fact, that it’s but butt hung out something fierce (remember those?). And heavy! Thank God I had another TV at the ready because I dropped the old one while moving it. We took this change as the right moment to get rid of our VCR. Yes, you read that right, our VCR that my mother never learned how to work, by the way. She is, however, getting the hang of Netflix.
We worked our way through Frankie and Grace and mom’s into The Crown while I love Sense8. Thank God at least some of our technology belongs in the twenty first century!
